Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name of Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was birthed in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder named her for the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder believes she is Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's parents relocated her and their children into Mendocino County California when Ryder reached seven. Here, they did not have electricity. Ryder was an avid bookworm and would spend her days reading books because she had no television. Ryder started taking classes in acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was twelve years old. Her first role was a success on the big screen in 1986, at the age of 15 old. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Ryder was hopeful that her work as an actress could make a difference. However, it didn't occur. But that didn't stop her following her dreams. Beetlejuice the 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big breakthrough. Ryder played parts that proved successful in various films. In 1993, she was awarded an Oscar Awards for The Age of Innocence.
