Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright director, producer, playwright and teacher at St. Thomas University). Anna Silk was born to the British father and Turkish-born mother from England. As a child, she appeared in several commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto in Ontario for the purpose of pursuing her acting. The decade which followed, she made the move into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. They got engaged in 2009. They married at a civil wedding ceremony in December and renewed their vows in a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton on April 11, 2011 following Anna's conversion to Judaism.
